Why This is Important
Your KPI zones and sales cycle length work together to make your 5 Forces AI analysis accurate, actionable, and tailored to your business.
1. Make Better Scale / Chill / Kill Decisions
KPI zones define the performance ranges for your primary metrics based on each campaign’s intention. These zones power the Scale / Chill / Kill recommendations:

Scale Zone → Campaigns performing above your target range.

Chill Zone → Campaigns meeting your acceptable performance range.

Kill Zone → Campaigns underperforming and likely wasting budget.
Without KPI zones, our AI can’t generate personalized insights aligned to your business goals.
2. Accurate Attribution Windows
Your sales cycle length tells Wicked Reports how long it typically takes a new visitor to become a customer. We use this to set attribution windows — the time range used to connect conversions back to the right campaigns:

Longer sales cycles → wider attribution windows to capture late conversions.

Shorter sales cycles → tighter attribution windows for faster conversions.
By default, your sales cycle is 30 days, but you can update it anytime to match your business.
3. Automatic Adjustments to Match Your Sales Cycle
When you update your sales cycle, Wicked Reports recalculates several analysis windows:

Attribution Windows by Intention
Each campaign’s analysis period updates automatically based on the new cycle. -
MOF & BOF Windows for Full-Funnel Attribution
If an intention uses Full Funnel attribution, we also adjust:-
MOF Time Window ≈ ½ of your sales cycle (rounded to the nearest 7 days)

BOF Time Window ≈ ¼ of your sales cycle (rounded to the nearest 7 days)

How to Set Sales Cycle Length
Your sales cycle tells Wicked Reports how long it typically takes a new visitor to become a customer. We use this information to set your attribution window — the date range we analyze to connect conversions back to the right marketing efforts.
By default, we set your sales cycle to 30 days. You can update this at any time to better match your business:

Longer sales cycles → wider attribution windows to capture late conversions.

Shorter sales cycles → tighter attribution windows for faster conversions.
Setting the right sales cycle keeps your reports accurate and ensures you see the full impact of your marketing.
When you update your Sales Cycle Length, Wicked Reports adjusts several settings to ensure your reports remain accurate:

Attribution Windows by Intention
For each campaign intention, the number of days used to analyze data is updated based on the new sales cycle. This ensures attribution is aligned with how long it typically takes visitors to convert. -
MOF & BOF Windows for Full-Funnel Attribution
If a campaign uses an intention that applies Full Funnel attribution, both the Middle of Funnel (MOF) and Bottom of Funnel (BOF) time windows are recalculated:-
MOF Time Window → approximately ½ of the sales cycle, rounded to the nearest 7 days.

BOF Time Window → approximately ¼ of the sales cycle, rounded to the nearest 7 days.

- Navigate to Reports -> 5 Forces Analysis
- Click the "Settings" option
- Click "Customize" option for sales cycle length
- set a new Sales Cycle length and click "Save"
How to Set Intention Metric Zones
- Click the "Settings" option
- For each Intention that has been assigned to a campaign, expand the Intention
- Enter a Chill Zone From and To
- This should be based on an acceptable range for the specified Intentio metric of the Intention
- If you have different goal for each channel, select the option to "Customize Zones for Specific Channel" and enter the Chill zone for that channel.
- Repeat for all Assigned Intentions and click "Save"
