About this Integration

The Amazon Integration in Wicked Reports lets you bring in key data from your Amazon Ads and Amazon Sales channel, giving you high-level insights into your advertising spend and sales performance directly within Wicked Reports. By connecting your Amazon Ads and Sales data, you can seamlessly analyze your Amazon performance alongside other marketing channels. This integration supports holistic cross-channel reporting, so you can measure and optimize your marketing efficiency with a unified view.

Why you need this

Understanding your Amazon performance in the context of all your marketing channels is essential for effective budget allocation and decision-making. By integrating Amazon with Wicked Reports, you can:

  • Analyze Your Ad Spend: Track Amazon Ad spend to understand its role in your marketing mix without needing to log in to separate platforms for analysis.
  • Measure Amazon Sales Impact: Bring in sales data to monitor Amazon revenue and calculate key metrics like Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and Average Order Value (AOV).
  • Streamline Cross-Channel Insights: Gain insights into how Amazon contributes to your broader marketing strategy by comparing it with other channels, identifying the most cost-effective sources, and adjusting tactics for better results.

How it works

The Amazon integration pulls in two types of data:

  • Amazon Ad Data at the Channel-Level: Once connected, Wicked Reports imports your Amazon Ad spend data, available as a channel-level view only. This means you’ll see the total ad spend over a chosen date range, but not individual campaign performance. This high-level view helps you evaluate your Amazon advertising investments without diving into granular campaign details.

Note: The Amazon Ads Integration only allows for pulling the last 60 days of data.

  • Amazon Sales & Revenue Data: This includes your Amazon sales transactions, giving you visibility into the number of sales and total revenue generated. With this data, Wicked Reports calculates essential metrics like MER, ROAS, CAC, and AOV for Amazon, so you can see how Amazon sales contribute to your overall marketing strategy.

Both data types can be connected independently via a simple authorization process. As soon as the connection is established, Wicked Reports starts importing data from Amazon, enabling you to analyze Amazon’s impact across all key metrics.

Note: The Amazon Orders integration will pull the last 60 days of data, to match what we can pull from the Amazon Ads integration.

Note: If no Amazon data is found for the selected date range, the FunnelVision report will not include the Amazon channel.

FAQ

  1. Why do so many of my Amazon columns have "-" instead of a value?
Amazon only provides us specific data points.  For example, we are not able to get actual customer information.  So, we don't know which customer made which purchase.  This means we don't know if they are a new customer or a repeat customer.  We also don't know if they are a new visitor or not.  Any column that uses this type of info or a calculation based on these values cannot be displayed
  2. Why doesn't my Amazon revenue match revenue in my Amazon account?
There are a few likely reasons for this:
    1. First, when Wicked Reports pulls in Amazon revenue, it includes Taxes while your Amazon account likely does not.
    2. Second, Wicked Reports pulls in Amazon sales and reports them based on Eastern Standard Time (EST), while your Amazon account may be reporting on a different timezone.
    3. Pending orders in your Amazon account show to us as $0 and will not be pulled into Wicked Reports.  We recheck pending orders for 7 days to see if they move out of the pending state and include a sales amount. Once they are out of pending, we will pull them in and this could impact revenue totals over certain days.
  3. Am I able to incorporate my Amazon Seller Fees in my data?
For the Beta, the Amazon integration is not taking Amazon Seller fees into consideration.  We will be taking feedback from Beta users and it's possible that in future enhancements, we allow users to decide how they want Amazon Fees and Sales taxes to be handled in the reports.

  4. How far back does my Amazon Data go?
The Amazon API allows us to pull only the last 60 days of Amazon Ad Data.  For this reason, both our Amazon Orders and Amazon Ads integration will pull in the last 60 days of data for reporting purposes.
