Keap Automation Trigger: New Contacts from FacebooK Lead Ads

This document is for customers setting up their Keap Automation trigger for new contacts added via Facebook Lead Ads.

Why You Need This

The Wicked Reports trigger for Keap Automations is designed for businesses that generate new leads through Facebook Lead Ads and aim to implement targeted marketing strategies for these potential customers. Setting Up the Trigger

There are a few steps in setting up the tigger for New Leads being added to your Keap account Via Facebook Lead Ads.

  1. Add the Wicked Reports Trigger to your Keap Automation
  2. Connect your Wicked Reports account in the Keap Trigger
  3. Connect Keap inside your Wicked Reports account
  4. Connect Facebook inside your Wicked Reports account
  5. Set the Trigger to Ready

Note: Contacts are added to Wicked Reports once per day, in the morning.  At this time, the trigger will fire for any new contact created via the a Facebook Lead Ad

1. Add Wicked Reports Trigger to Keap Automation

In your Keap Automation, you will drag the Wicked Reports trigger to your Automation Canvas

 

2. Connect your Wicked Reports account in the Keap Tirgger

First, you will need to click the trigger and select "View and edit"

On the screen, you will be asked to enter your Wicked Reports API Key.

Note: If you do not currently have a Wicked Reports account, get a Free 30 day Trial account by clicking the "Create A Free Wicked Reports Account" button

 

How To Find Your Wicked Reports API Key

From your Wicked Reports account, go to Setup -> Authorizations

To enable the API for Contacts, click "Enable" on the API under the Contacts Data section

The Click the Copy button

Paste the API Key in the Keap trigger modal and click Submit

 

3. Connect Keap inside your Wicked Reports account

For Wicked Reports to be able to add New Contacts to your Keap account, you will need to connect Keap for Contacts inside your Wicked Reports account

From your Wicked Reports account, go to Setup -> Authorizations

Uner the Contacts Data section, find the Keap Integration and click Connect.  Just follow the steps to complete the setup

 

4. Connect Facebook inside your Wicked Reports account

For Wicked Reports to be able to have access to your Facebook Lead Ads, you will need to connect Facebook inside your Wicked Reports account

From your Wicked Reports account, go to Setup -> Authorizations

Under the Advertising Data section, find the Facebook Integration and click Connect.  

After initially connecting Facebook, you will complete your setup. 

  • If you are NOT YET using Wicked Reports for your Attribution and Ad Tracking, select "No, I do NOT want Wicked Reports FB Auto-Tagging"

If you use Wicked Reports for Attribution, you will likely want to turn on FB Auto-Tagging. If you are not, be sure to NOT enable auto-tracking.

  • Enable "Sync Facebook Lead Ads to selected Contacts CRM"
  • Select "WickedKeap
  • Select all Facebook Accounts that will have Facebook Lead Ads you want synced to your Keap account and click "Assign"
  • click "Go To Authorizations Page" button to exit Facebook setup

 

5. Set Automation Trigger to Ready To Publish

Once you've completed steps 1-4, and have your Trigger modal open, you should see both Facebook and Keap connected successfully.  If they are not both showing successful, click the Refresh button to re-check your Wicked Reports account for successful setup.

Once they are both successful, you will see a "Save and Close" button.  Click It.

Once the modal is closed, your trigger should appear Ready to Publish  and you can complete any work needed to finish your automation.

FAQ

Do I need a Wicked Reports account to set up this Trigger
Yes, you must have an active Wicked Reports account to set up this Trigger in Keap.  If you don't currently have one, when setting up the trigger you will see a button to "Create a Free Wicked Reports Account"

 

When do the New Contacts from the Facebook Lead Ads get added to Keap and fire the tirgger?
Wicked Reports processings data once per day in the early morning Eastern Standard Time.  You can expect New Contacts from Facebook Lead Ads to be added to Keap each morning along with the trigger being fired.  It does not happen immediately upon Lead Ad form submission.

Troubleshooting

I've connected Keap and Facebook, but my trigger still shows as Setup Required

Click the Refresh button.  The trigger does not update automatically if the modal screen is open when you make these updates inside Wicked Reports.  When you close the modal and re-open it, there will also be a check against Wicked Reports to see if Keap and Facebook are both connected successfully.

 

My triggers shows as Published, but I'm still not seeing the trigger fire for my new Contacts from Facebook Lead Ads

Open the modal to validate that Keap and Facebook are still connected successfully inside of Wicked Reports.  From time to time, Authorizatoin Tokens for Keap and Facebook may expire.  If this happens, you will need to log back into your Wicked Reports account and reconnect them.  To do this, you go to Setup -> Authorizations

 

My Facebook account or my Keap account became disconnected

From time to time, Authorizatoin Tokens for Keap and Facebook may expire.  If this happens, you will need to log back into your Wicked Reports account and reconnect them.  To do this, you go to Setup -> Authorizations
