How does Wicked Reports decide what gets added to different channels?
When viewing your Channels report on the Mission Control Screen or selecting from a Quick Filter in the reports, it's common to wonder exactly what data is automatically added to these channels and categories.
Below you will find the rules we use to put different data sets into these predefined channels and categories.

Quick Filters in Reporting
Facebook Channel / Facebook Ads Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Facebook Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Source value contains "Facebook", "fb" or "Meta" in the source value
- AND Medium does NOT have "email" in the medium value
- AND Term is NOT "organic traffic" or "Organictraffic"
Google Channel / Google Ads Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Google Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Source value is "Adwords" or "Google" or "Google Ads" or "Google Paid"
- AND Medium is NOT "organic", "YouTube Search", or "YouTube Videos"
- AND Term does NOT contain "Video Responsive Ad:"
YouTube Channel / Google Ads Quick Filter
Data will show up in the YouTube Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Source value is "Adwords"
- AND Medium is "YouTube Search" or "YouTube Videos"
- OR Term contains "Video Responsive Ad:"
Microsoft Channel / Microsoft Ads Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Microsoft Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
source in ('bing', 'bing.com', 'bing ads', 'bingads') or source like '%microsoft%' or source like '%.bing.com'
- Source value is "bing" or "bing.com" or "bing ads" or "bingads" OR
- Source value contains the text "microsoft" or ends with "bing.com"
Email Channel / Email Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Email Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Source has "email"
- OR Medium has "email" OR "blast" or "broadcast"
Text/SMS Channel / Text/SMS Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Text/SMS Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Source is "text" OR "sms"
- OR Medium is "text" OR "sms"
Pinterest Channel / Pinterest Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Pinterest Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Source value is "Pinterest"
TikTok Channel / TikTok Quick Filter
Data will show up in the TikTok Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Source value starts with "tiktok"
Snapchat Channel / Snapchat Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Snapchat Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Source value starts with "snapchat"
Organic Channel / Organic Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Organic Channel where Any UTM set meets the following criteria
- Term is "organic traffic" or "Organictraffic"
Other Channel / Other Quick Filter
Data will show up in the Other Channel where Any UTM set does not meet any of the above criteria. This is effectively, a catch-all for anything that's not defined above.
